The Royal Danish Navy commends a system delivered by Logimatic

BT_artikel_IPMS.jpgIn an article in the Danish newspaper BT, Kristian Haumann, commander senior grade on the new Danish frigate named Iver Huitfeldt, states that "all systems onboard run impeccably. It is amazing to be a part of this. It is an eminent ship."

One of the systems he refers to has been delivered by Logimatic and is a so-called IPMS (Integrated Platform Management System). The system manages - amongst other things engines, propellers, handles, damage control equipment (e.g. fire pumps), heating, ventilation, aircondition and alarm system.

"Never before has Denmark had a ship like Iver Huitfeldt with so highly avancered systems – and never before have we had such a large ship.", says Finn Hansen, rear admiral and head of the Admiral Danish Fleet, about Iver Huitfeldt which is to protect the merchant navy and pursue pirates in the Gulf of aden off the Somali coast.
